Lay Network of the Society of Mary

The Lay Society of Mary is a proposal open to all people who want to participate freely in Lay Apostolic Groups to live and share their Christian experience inspired by the spirituality of Joan of Lestonnac; people who try to find God's presence in all things around us and look for ways to collaborate in building a more fraternal and fair society based on the different dimensions of one's life.

The Secular Network Groups have regular meetings in which they share the presence of God in daily life and are enlightened by the gospel, the Church's scriptures and the teachings of the Society of Mary, as well as the cultural, social, political and economic reality of today's world.

Participation in Spirituality Days and Ignatian Exercises is possible; as well as collaboration in volunteer activities in Company Projects, FISC or others. They link with other groups in the Secular Network, communities of nuns in the same area and are open to the international dimension of the Society of Mary.

The Lay Society of Mary was born in April 2003, from the desire and request of a group of lay people who wanted to live their faith in a project of secular Christian life within the Church based on the evangelising and educational charisma of Joan of Lestonnac.

Today we can see this reality in many cities in Spain and in the world where the Society of Mary has a presence, in one way or another, enabling many lay people to live out their Christian commitment.
